Traditionally quality eyewear is made from Cellulose Acetate, a product that has many enticing characteristics such as its ability to be reshaped, its unparalleled strength and flexibility, it unique capacity to be polished in either a Matt finish or Gloss.  The fibre in Cellulose Acetate is derived from cottoned wood pulp, however, the plasticiser used to combine these ingredients comes from a petroleum by-product. Meaning like traditional Cellulose Acetate it does not fully break down.

At Tully Ward, we're proud to exclusively manufacture using Bio-acetate, a cutting-edge material that redefines sustainability in eyewear.  Using a plasticiser derived from plants and no petrol chemicals Bio-acetate combines style and eco-consciousness like never before.

Renewable Origins: Bio Acetate is derived from renewable resources, making it a sustainable alternative to traditional acetate. By using organic compounds sourced from plants, this innovative material reduces our reliance on fossil fuels and helps to minimise environmental impact.

Biodegradable Properties: Unlike conventional plastics, Bio-acetate is biodegradable, meaning it can naturally decompose over time without harming the environment. This ensures that our sunglasses leave behind a smaller ecological footprint, offering peace of mind to conscious consumers.

Exceptional Quality: Despite its eco-friendly properties, Bio Acetate does not compromise on quality or durability. Our frames crafted from Bio Acetate are known for their strength, flexibility, and long-lasting performance. Whether you're hitting the beach or strolling through the city, you can trust that your Tully Ward sunglasses will withstand the rigours of daily wear.
